T.I. Discusses Upcoming G.D.O.D. Mixtape, Tour With Lil Wayne & More

T.I. stopped by DJ Skee’s radio to speak about the upcoming “Get Dough Or Die: The Introduction” mixtape, naming a few artists who will be joining him, including B.o.B, Trae Tha Truth, Iggy Azalea, Travi$ Scott, and Kris Stephens, to name a few.
Speaking of Travi$, T.I.P. went on to announced he is the newest member of the Hustle Gang family. The two just recently released their first single together with 2 Chainz, the slapper titled “Upper Echelon,” which will see visuals very soon.
Travi$ Scott touched on producing the record with Kanye West in Paris and how he shares a relationship with both Ye and T.I. The Kang went on to close out the interview announcing a follow-up collaboration to “Ball” with Tunechi coming in May.

While we are still waiting for Travi$ Scott’s highly anticipated mixtape Owl Pharaoh, the young MC releases his T.I. and 2 Chainz assisted track. “Upper Echelon” sounds every bit as good as every release from Travi$ we have heard thus far and will hold us over until we get the final word on the new project. Hopefully we get that sooner than later.

Remember earlier in the year when B.o.B made the announcement leak of the upcoming Hustle Gang project for 2013 on DJ Whoo Kid’s Whoolywood Shuffle? Well the Kang, T.I.P. has gave the green light with the breaking news of the official Hustle Hang mixtape “G.D.O.D: The Introduction” coming in 4 weeks. While talking with DJ Skee, the CEO himself said we can lookout for features from B.o.B., Trae Tha Truth, Iggy Azalea, Shad Da God, Travis Scott, Young DRO and more. While T.I.’s latest album “Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head” is still fresh in everyone’s minds since its holiday release; if our calculations are correct, we can look out for that Grand Hustle mixtape coming the first week of May.

T.I. Talks About MTV’s “Hottest MCs” List With Sway
Talk about that certain MTV “Hottest MCs” list is still circulating, as today T.I. dropped by Sway’s program and was asked about the list. In a rather hilarious manner TIP said salute to the artists that made it but also said “I don’t give a fuck about it, I care about my bankroll.” The hilarity was increased due to the fact that Sway is employed by MTV. Top 10 Videos Of The Week (March 24, 2013)
It was the invasion of R&B this week, as almost half our our Top 10 belongs to the genre. More interestingly, it’s spawned a little competition from two of them, making the Internet pit Justin Timberlake against Robin Thicke for best visual.
The rest of our videos remain to some rap heavyweights, with 2 Chainz getting two looks, much like director Topshelf Junior (for videos from different genres too).
Unfortunately, this means Alternative videos got snubbed.

Lil Wayne Announces ‘America’s Most Wanted’ Tour With T.I. And Future
Wayne unofficially announced the tour earlier this morning but now it has officially been announced. Wayne and T.I. will be hitting the road this summer starting July 5th and it looks like they will be bringing Future with them as well. No dates or venues have been announced yet but we expect to see those details in the next week or so. Though Wayne was reportedly “on his death bed“, he makes it clear he is “more than good” now. We expect the trio to be on the road for the better part of the summer, stay tuned for more details.
I Am Not A Human Being II also drops March 26th.

The Mike Will Made-It-produced track seemed to be enough on its own, but the inclusion of a number of our favorite artists is certain to increase the much-deserved popularity.

Top 10 Videos Of The Week (March 18, 2013)
Even though SXSW kept everyone distracted and entertained for most of the week, there were still plenty of visuals released throughout the slow week. Some folks took advantage of the fact it was slow to drop their videos, giving fans something to hold them over until their next project is ready for the world.
We put a couple more alternative and R&B videos in this week’s countdown than normal, but they’re all worth it. Watch our Top 10 after the jump.

T.I. Speaks On New Version Of “Memories Back Then” Without Gotye Sample
While on the set of his new music video for “Memories Back Then,” T.I. took some time to talk to MTV about the history of the record. The original version of the song featured a sample from Gotye’s tremendously huge single “Somebody I Used To Know” but couldn’t be used by TIP due to clearance issues.
He felt that the record, which also features Kendrick Lamar and B.o.B, was so hot that it needed to be heard by the people. To accomodate this they reworked the production and took out the sample. This is great news, as now TIP and the gang are shooting a video and gearing to push the track as a single. Check out the full interview above.

Mike Tyson, Pusha Ton, 2 Chainz, Da Internz & T.I.P. all weighed-in with their picks for the big game all in support of Ray Lewis for his 17 years in the game which they all want him to retire on top in the NFL.
