Is the third time the charm? Saigon is back with the Just Blaze hosted Warning Shots 3: One Foot In The Grave mixtape, looking to put all MC’s in a body bag. He doesn’t rock anybody else’s beats like that so expect nothing but original tracks for the project, with production from Just Blaze, Red Spyda, DJ Green Lantern, Scram Jones, Sire and more.

Saigon – Women Are The New Dogs (feat. Jovan Dais)

Producer: Red Spyda
Mixtape: Warning Shots 3: One Foot In The Grave
Label: Abandoned Nation Ent.

With his new project Warning Shots 3: One Foot In The Grave dropping tomorrow, Saigon drops off the latest leak “Women Are The New Dogs” with Jovan Dais. With a slapping beat from Red Spyda and a nice crooning hook from Jovan, Saigon goes in on all these hypocritical women who sit there and blame men for their dogish acts and turn around and do the same damn thing.

Saigon – Hungry

Label: Abandoned Nation Ent.

Not to stay on topic, but it is lunch time out on the West Coast and we feel just like the title of this track. Saigon doesn’t actually mean it in the literal sense, though. He’s talking about the grind and how consistent he’s been dropping lately, comparing his hunger to the old Saigon. We can tell you’ve kicked it up a notch too, Sai.

Another pretty good week for videos, one that might have given us the Halloween video of the year in January. Some known artists made our list this week, and some not so known acts. Hopefully we put you on to some music you haven’t heard before.

If you slept on anything this week, let us keep you up on game.

The Weekend Playlist (2)

The second weekend of the year is here and there even though things were kind of slow, the internet(s) still got blessed with some gems throughout. The week started off strong with Common’s Drake diss and Jay-Z’s dedication to Blue Ivy Carter, but they took the story lines of the week since we first heard them on Monday.

After the jump you can check out what we’ll have in rotation this weekend, including some of the best tracks to drop this week, as well as some of our picks that have been getting major burn already. Let us know if we missed anything and tell us what you’ll be bumping Saturday and Sunday in the comments.

Saigon – Another Man Down (feat. Lil Fame)

Producer: DJ Corbett
Mixtape: Warning Shots 3: One Foot In The Grave
Label: Abandoned Nation Ent.

Have you gotten enough of Saigon this week? With Warning Shots 3 on the way, the boy takes it back to that street-hop the game’s been missing out of New York, for this Lil Fame featured cut titled “Another Man Down.” He sounds like he’s starting to find that zone, and making a run like the one we saw back in 2005. The YARDFATHER!

On the low, Saigon had a good run in 2011. He finally released The Greatest Story Never Told, had some dope visuals to go along with the project and enjoyed his time back in the hip-hop mix. Now that he’s gotten people familiar with what he’s all about, 2012 will bring more music from Sai-giddy. More specifically: Warning Shots 3.

Don’t act like he can’t get busy on the mic, now.

Saigon – Drugs

Today would mark the 40th anniversary of Richard Nixon declaring a war on drugs (nice job on that war by the way), but to commemorate that occasion, Saigon was recruited for the “No More Drug War” campaign by In Arms Reach and the Drug Policy Alliance for this song.

Pay attention.

Termanology – Say It (Remix) (feat. Joell Ortiz, Bun B, Saigon & Freeway)

Producer: Termanology
Mixtape: Cameo King 2
Label: Showoff Records
iTunes:

Who else can gather some of hip-hop’s most lyrical wordsmith’s? He produced the track too. Termanology is working. He’s gearing up for part duex, with digital copies being released May 24 and physical shipping out June 7. This isn’t for the radio, it’s for those who still crave that real hip-hop.

This is why they call him the CAMEO KING.

TGSNT is available now. This is the bonus track featured on physical copies of the disc. It sounds a bit left field for Saigon’s vibe, but he’s spitting some real ish on here.

Aside from the beef, these two are back in the booth with something unreleased that won’t be featured on the upcoming Saigon album that drops tomorrow. The past few leaks have been very solid. We’re still wondering if anything came about from that Curren$y, Saigon, Joe Budden, Just Blaze & Alchemist studio session though.
