Top 10 Videos Of The Week (October 7, 2012)

Another great week of videos has arrived, thanks to the first week in October. Maybe it’s the fact that cuffin season is underway, but this week brought us a good amount of R&B videos. More than we usually see. No complaints, though. Some veterans made their way back into our Top 10, and don’t worry, we also got you on that ratchet shit.

Check out our picks after the jump.

Follow the leader, Prodigy, as he speaks on people jacking his style in Rap. “Change” is one of a few new songs on The Bumpy Johnson Album, which was released today on iTunes. He drops some gems in this one, including saying that “the only thing constant is change.”

Embraces the imitation as a form of flattery.

Considering it was a short holiday week, the visuals came slow until hump day, when we got back to our regularly scheduled programming. We still found some gems in the mix, especially on the alternative side of things, as the Summer-esque visuals continue to roll out before the Fall kicks in.

Check out our tops picks for this week, after the jump.

Havoc Says Mobb Deep Is On Hiatus Indefinitely

After months of lying about the incident, the Mobb Deep saga just took another turn for the worst and confirms what we all thought to begin with: that there was turmoil within the Mobb camp and things weren’t all good. If you haven’t been around to witness this shit unfold in front our very eyes, let’s catch up with the story real quick.

1. Havoc goes on Twitter blasting Prodigy, calling him gay (amongst other things)
2. Havoc denies tweets came from him, says phone was lost at a gas station
3. Prodigy and Havoc are spotted at a Knicks game
4. Prodigy responds to Havoc’s tweets on the radio, denies everything

Just when you thought it was all over & forgotten, now Havoc is tells AllHipHop that everything that happened in April was very real and Mobb Deep is on hiatus until further notice. Apparently, things haven’t been resolved & there is more to the story than meets the eye. Hav emphasizes that only one side of the story has been told up to this point.

What a goddamn shame.

Childish Gambino – Body (feat. Prodigy)

We’re not even exactly sure why this didn’t make the cut on Childish Gambino’s Royalty mixtape, but at least now, you can throw this on as a bonus track. Is that an Alchemist beat? A Portishead sample? Who isn’t Donald collaborating with nowadays?

Top 10 Videos Of The Week (July 8, 2012)

It seemed like it was a slow week for videos, but in the end, it turned out to be a pretty good one. 4th of July brought a slew of new visuals, three of which made the cut this week. Like we always do around these parts, expect a little bit of everything, including some Timbaland and an up and comer from ATL.

Prodigy uses his newest track “Pretty Thug” to speak that dunn language and find out where the gangsta bitches are at, because that’s what he’s looking for in a female. We’re sure the shortys are bound to flock after hearing this one. That beat is quite beastly.
