As one of the most played tracks behind the scenes here during the month (maybe year) has been Curren$y Spitta’s “New Jet City” mixtape has been the Lloyd & Trinidad Jame$ collaborative track “Purple Haze.” Luckily we weren’t the only ones feeling the same way as DJ Slim K of the Chopstars Click decided to add a PURPLE Slowdown of the record.

This might be one of the best combinations in 2013, as far as R&B and Rap is concerned. You already know the ladies love Young Goldie, and Juicy J is certainly warming up to them, so it’s a best of both worlds on the Thug&B tip. We’ve been wondering where the baby music has been lately. We’ve heard some stuff drop here and there, but we remember cooking up mixes every month at the rate R&B was popping off back in the good days. They just don’t make R&B like they used to.
That is until we heard Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream (it dropped this past week). Yeah, Trey Songz and Usher can still hold the crown when it comes to baby making songs at times, but you know the game now: Make an international club banger and who cares about smooth R&B when the world wants to party. Who has time to seduce these hoes?
But that’s why we’re making this for you, ladies. Because you still love hanging on to the dear hope of being courted by a decent young fella. A guy that can still light a candle and not manhandle you like a one night stand, but rather an actual female with feelings.
You just want to take it nice and slow.
Luckily for you, we’ve got the recipe. Back-to-back fire from the baby making music department. We must admit, not all of these songs are the fairy tales of your imagination. This isn’t the Boyz II Men “I’ll Make Love To You” hour. This is 2012.

After checking out the tracklist for the upcoming DJ Drama album, Quality Street Music, one of the clear standouts was the Kendrick Lamar, Common and Lloyd collaboration.
Seeing as how DJ Drama has been mixing and matching some of the best artists out, on paper, this one sounded marvelous. Luckily, now we get to hear the actual record and marvel at how smooth it really is. DJ Drama is not fucking around!

Lloyd – All Of Me (feat. Wale)
After hearing the dope remix of Future’s “Turn On The Lights,” Lloyd returns with an original cut, featuring MMG’s own Wale. “All Of Me” is a bit on the slower side, where Young Goldie flexes his vocals and Wale gets back on his “Lotus Flower Bomb” feel.

Lloyd adds his twist to Future’s new single “Turn on The Lights” as he remakes the Mike WiLL Made It produced banger in his own way. Listen as Lloyd gives his lady an unforgettable night of passion in the bedroom on this one. We’re sure there will be a lot more remixes to this Future track because the song is definitely a banger and great choice for a single. Look out for the official music video from Future Hendrix to come soon as well.

Lloyd will be kicking off his UK tour with 4 dates, starting in March, and the R&B singer has just released a track to coincide with the announcement. A video for the song is going to be released soon and it definitely sounds like something for the radio.
