We had heard a preview of this collaboration last week and now the full version is upon us this morning. This is a very dope cut from TIP and Weezy F, as they flow over some banging production that is perfect for the summer. King T.I. really has been rolling with his releases for a while now, as it is rumored that he has some new heat with Drake on the way.

One of the more underrated award shows in the music industry, the “Billboard Music Awards,” rarely disappoints. Tonight’s show should be no different, as they have a crazy amount of mega-stars lined up to perform tonight. Taking the stage are the likes of Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull & many more. One of the more special things about this evening will be the honoring of Prince with a lifetime achievement award. He will also be blessing the stage for a special performance.

YMCMB general, Lil Wayne and lifestyle/skate footwear brand SUPRA take their growing business relationship a step further with with the recent launch of Weezys new shoe company SPECTRE, under the SUPRA umbrella. Wayne and the SUPRA family put together a selection of new fashionable skate sneakers, designed and approved by the man himself, giving us some kicks good for action sports and also can be worn out casually.
Last week in Miami, Weezy & SUPRA brought out the city for the launch of his footwear company SPECTRE, with an event giving the fans and some of his close industry friends a sample of whats to come. Chad Muska, Stevie Williams, Boo Johnson, and the SUPRA skake team came out to show Wayne some love, skating the mini-ramp set up at the event. DJ Don Cannon provided the music, while celebs, media, and store mingled and enjoyed the festivities.
The first release from the Lil Wayne SPECTRE By SUPRA collection will be available May 18th over at the SUPRA online shop. Check out a recap from the Miami SPECTRE below and after the jump.
MTV’s RapFix Live made a special trip down to Miami this week to interview Birdman, Lil Wayne and other members of YMCMB. During Sway’s convo with the two members of Rich Gang, the possibility of the new Big Tymers album came up. Though Birdman said they are going to do it, he also made very clear that the lineup would be him, Wayne and Drake with no Mannie Fresh involved. Sort of a weird way to think of a Big Tymers album, but regardless we can’t wait for it.

It doesn’t appear as if Lil Wayne is leaving the rap game anytime soon, as this weekend he spoke with MTV about some future projects. Wayne clarified that Tha Carter V will indeed be the last album he does, though he said don’t expect that soon as he wants to knock out some other albums such as Like Father, Like Son 2 featuring Birdman. The interview took an interesting turn when Weezy said he wants to do a Big Tymers renunion album but with Drake added to the mix. We can’t even fathom the levels of awesome that album would be.

These corporations aren’t playing around in 2013, because Lil Wayne is the latest casualty of losing corporate sponsorship. Reports have just surfaced, saying PepsiCo. (Parent company to Mountain Dew) and Weezy F. Baby have parted ways, due to “creative differences” according to his publicist. The news comes only days after Lil Wayne issued a formal apology to the Emmett Till family for his lyrics in the “Karate Chop” remix.
Pepsi. had this to say, regarding the issue of releasing Wayne:
“Offensive references to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”
Goodbye DeWeezy ads, vlogs and Mountain Dew commercials all over TV.
Rick Ross hasn’t been the only one in hot water over rap lyrics. Most recently, Lil Wayne also caught flack for his Emmett Till lyric on the “Karate Chop” remix with Future, which was actually pulled by Epic Records, and subsequently saw the Till family protest to Mountain Dew to drop Weezy F. Baby from their sponsorship.
Today, Lil Wayne issued a formal apology in which he says he will not be performing the song anywhere and/or reference Emmett or the Till family in any future lyrics.

Dear Till Family:
As a recording artist, I have always been interested in word play. My lyrics often reference people, places and events in my music, as well as the music that I create for or alongside other artists.
It has come to my attention that lyrics from my contribution to a fellow artist’s song has deeply offended your family. As a father myself, I cannot imagine the pain that your family has had to endure. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your hurt, as well as the letter you sent to me via your attorneys.
Things didn’t seem to slow up at all this week, bringing us a slew of dope visuals. We’re giving you a bit of everything, too. An alternative pick, some baby making R&B and ill rap. It doesn’t hurt that we probably saw a clear choice for videos of the year in the past seven days, and that’s after saying that last week with J. Cole. Maybe this means rappers are gonna be stepping their visual game up for the remainder of 2013.
Follow us after the jump and peep our Top 10 countdown.
