Jay-Z’s 2 Cents on Rita Ora

Jay-Z had a little bit to say about Rita Ora while out in Philly at his press conference, explaining to MTV the energy he felt the first time he met her, and how bad she wanted to make it in music. This all comes as news hit that her single “R.I.P.” hit #1 in the UK.

Her current single “How We Do (Party)” is still making it’s rounds in the States.

Jay Electronica’s Lyrics Are “Scary Good,” Album Is On The Way Soon

After three years wondering what happened, thanks for the update Jay-Z. He told MTV after his press conference in Philly that Jay Electronica’s album is “really close” to being done, and he encourages people to work at their own pace instead of the traditional ways of the industry. How much longer can we wait, though.

Hopefully we can get a track (or something) soon.

Jay-Z Says, “Blue Ivy > Music”

As some people saw earlier, Jay-Z held a press conference in Philadelphia to announce his 2-day festival with the line-up to be announced soon. Before he left the city of brotherly love, he spoke to MTV about how twisted he had it when Blue Ivy was born (he thought he’d be a lot more inspired to make music, but it’s actually been the opposite) and how “Glory” / “Regrets” are one in the same.

Don’t worry, hopefully he’ll get the music itch back soon. He hopes so too.

The REAL Jeremy Lin Pre-Game Playlist

Game Winning 3 Against The Toronto Raptors

The Miami Heat proved to be a bit too much for the New York Knicks last night, as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and company rolled to their 8th straight win. Jeremy Lin struggled against the Heat’s defense, ultimately leading him to turn the ball over eight times.

Tough loss, but we hope Linsanity isn’t too bummed out.

That’s why we figured we’d help him out a little bit, with our secular version of his music playlist he shared on FUSE. Call it: The official OnSMASH pre-game soundtrack. A playlist full of music with a hint of rap scripture hidden between the verses.

Some new. Some old. All guaranteed to get him hype.

Let us know what you’d pick for a #Linsanity playlist in the comments.
