French Montana continues his sit down with Combat Jack & Co. as he is hot on the promo trail for his debut, Excuse My French. French talks about how his first deal with Akon came about, his conversations with Kanye and his “weird” ways, his time spent with Ross and the loyalty he has with him, and finally finding a home with Diddy and Bad Boy. Watch the whole clip after the jump and stay tuned for Episode 3 later this week.
Just last week Kid Ink released the music video to his Rocketshipshawty single “Bossin’ Up.” Today he releases the official remix to the single, making that LA to NY connection grabbing French Montana and his label-mate A$AP Ferg to assist him with some verses to talk that boss shit for the Lifted-produced track, which serves as the new single from his forthcoming Almost Home EP due out May 28th. To listen to the new track check after the jump.

With Excuse My French finally in-stores, French Montana stopped by The Breakfast Club to celebrate the album release and take a few shots in the studio. Among some of the topics they spoke on were, all the features on the album and his relationship with Max B now, pushing through the doubts and putting a record by himself with no features, how it feels to get love down South and on the West Coast and more.
Coincidentally, the album dropped on Max B and Biggie’s birthday. Check out French’s full interview after the jump.
French Montana was the latest guest to pop up on The Combat Jack show and had quite a bit to talk about. After the jump, French talks about his days of coming up on the street DVD’s and what inspired him to really take rapping serious, some of the lessons Max B taught him and how he learned music industry strategies from drug kingpins, and he even tells a story about Max B making $60,000 in one weekend and then asking French to loan him $1,000 the following day.
Some new Lloyd Banks featuring French Montana called “Can You Dig It” dropped today. Not sure if this is a new track or something that was stashed in the vaults, but it is quite dope. It starts off a little slow, but then French comes in an lays a very dope verse followed by Lloyd ending the song with a bang. Look for Lloyd Banks upcoming F.N.O. mixtape to drop sooner than later.
Album: Trap Lord
Label: RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment
The time has finally come for the remix to A$AP Ferg’s incredibly popular song “Work.” Ferg gets a whole cast of characters for this cut that includes his Mob brother Rocky, fellow New Yorker French Montana, Mr. Gold himself Trinidad James, and everybody’s favorite bucket hat wearing MC, Schoolboy Q. Trap Lord is most certainly on the way.

After Lil Wayne got the boot from Epic Records on the “Karate Chop” remix after the Emmett Till controversy (stemming from the lyrics in his verse), Future goes out and gets some Rich Gang members for the remix. Now added to the mix, Birdman, Rozay and French, you know, that YMCMB x MMG tapout connect.

Like most of them livewire’s in the streets (see the O-Dog pictured above); you think about the consequences and repercussions after you put in work, with the motto “Fuck What Happens Tonight.” Cocaine Montana is nearing the release of his major label debut studio album “Excuse My French” two weeks from now, as here we get the release of his latest drop. In the track above for “Fuck What Happens Tonight,” we see an all-star cast of DJ Khaled, Mavado, Ace Hood, Snoop & Face Mob. Stay tuned for that French album to hit stores and iTunes on May 21st.
One week ago, Harry Fraud gave us a first teaser of his upcoming EP with the Earl Sweatshirt & Riff Raff featured “Yacht Lash.” Oddly combination to say the least, but the track surprisingly came out proper with the three showing their range in stepping out of their elements for one another.
The track served as the first track for his new Scion AV sponsored “High Tide EP”; which we have today featuring Action Bronson, French Montana, Earl Sweatshirt, Tech N9ne, Chinx Drugz, Smoke DZA, Mistah F.A.B., Troy Ave, Riff Raff. You can check after the jump to view the 5-track tracklistings along with download links ready.
Ace Hood – Bugatti (Remix) (feat. Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled & Birdman)
Now this is a remix. Ace Hood recruits just about everyone in the rap game for his highly-anticipated remix to his smash single “Bugatti.” We can’t even lie and say that this version isn’t hot though, as T.I. & Meek absolutely went ham on this. Ace Hood’s new album Trials & Tribulations will be in stores on July 16.
Who do you think had the hottest verse? Let us know in the comment section.
For the third installment of his new #IDGAFFridays series, Luda discusses what he’ll be doing 9 Times Out Of 10 like any real cat would be doing. With Que handling the hook duties, Cocaine Montana joins in on the track with Luda trying to find out which hoe is next (Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Mo). Luda is definitely coming correct with his releases for his series this year so far; and if these are songs that won’t make the final cut for his upcoming album, we’re curious how many bangers it’ll have. Produced by Metro Boomin.
Stay tuned for the “DTP Presents: I Don’t Give A Fuck (The Mixtape)” coming soon, while you can check after the jump to download the track.

French Montana is gearing up to drop his debut album Excuse My French on May 21, and today drops the official remix to his latest single “Freaks.” For this French adds some new verses from Wale, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled & Mavado, plus keeping Nicki Minaj’s verse from the original. We are actually not mad at this remix at all, and are looking forward to French’s debut album next month.

A$AP Ferg & A$AP Rocky sat down with MTV news recently to discuss the upcoming music video for “Work (Remix).” In this clip, we see a behind-the-scenes look at the visual shot in-doors, with everybody present (in comparison to first look that leaked online showing Ferg record visuals at 155th at Rucker Park). Fergenstein went on to say his choice for artists in the music visuals were strictly based on having personal relationships with every rapper on the track, outside of music.
ScHoolboy Q & Trinidad Jame$ checked in and said they enjoyed recording the track, putting it down for the upcoming music video in a major way. Stay tuned for the “Work” visual, set to premiere on MTV very soon.
Less than nearly 5 months removed from the release of “Legends Era” mixtape, Roc Nation super-producer / rapper Jahlil Beats returns for the second installment in the series. New York native French Montana has made a quite a name for himself as far as free music and features go. However, it’s time for the rapper to step his game up for his very own debut album. The artwork for Excuse My French is basic, making the actual music the main talking point of the project. With features such as Max B, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, Jermih, Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Ne-Yo, Raekwon, Lil Wayne and Diddy –this might one of the most stacked albums of the year. It’s also interesting to note that only five out of eighteen tracks are French solo cuts.
Excuse My French will be released nationwide on May 21st via Bad Boy Records, Maybach Music Group and Interscope Records. Peep the tracklist below.
