Drake Joins The Cast Of “Anchorman 2″
Looks like Kanye West isn’t the only rapper to join the upcoming Anchorman 2 film. Today some shots of Drake were released making a cameo appearance in the movie fully equipped with an afro and dope 1970′s attire. It is not known how big of roles Ye or Drake have in the film or if they even interact with each other, but it is never a bad thing to see the biggest acts in hip-hop geting to branch out to the film industry. The film will hit theaters on December 30, 2013.
Check out another pic of Drake on set and a brand new trailer from the film after the jump.

Mannie Fresh Speaks On Possible New Big Tymers Album

Click image to see Mannie Fresh’s interview on MTV RapFix Live
Last week the internet was sent ablaze when Birdman & Lil Wayne revealed that they were making a new Big Tymers album with Drake instead of Mannie Fresh. So it was only right that MTV reached out to Mannie to see what he thought about the possible album. Basically Mannie breaks it down in a very respectful way saying that both Drake and Wayne are great artist’s but that album simply would not be a Big Tymers album.

Birdman & Lil Wayne Discuss Big Tymers Album On “RapFix Live”

MTV’s RapFix Live made a special trip down to Miami this week to interview Birdman, Lil Wayne and other members of YMCMB. During Sway’s convo with the two members of Rich Gang, the possibility of the new Big Tymers album came up. Though Birdman said they are going to do it, he also made very clear that the lineup would be him, Wayne and Drake with no Mannie Fresh involved. Sort of a weird way to think of a Big Tymers album, but regardless we can’t wait for it.

Lil Wayne Hints At Possible Big Tymers Album With Drake
Click image to watch Lil Wayne speak on a possible new Big Tymers album
It doesn’t appear as if Lil Wayne is leaving the rap game anytime soon, as this weekend he spoke with MTV about some future projects. Wayne clarified that Tha Carter V will indeed be the last album he does, though he said don’t expect that soon as he wants to knock out some other albums such as Like Father, Like Son 2 featuring Birdman. The interview took an interesting turn when Weezy said he wants to do a Big Tymers renunion album but with Drake added to the mix. We can’t even fathom the levels of awesome that album would be.

Other R&B Songs Drake Can Flip
If we had it our way, Drake would be releasing that R&B mixtape that he was talking about last year, in epic fashion. You can’t deny this guy’s music on the R&B tip. From “Trust Issues,” to “Fall For Your Type,” Aubrey Graham has been hitting them out of the park. And that’s a few of the handful of tracks he’s got in the arsenal.
Most recently, Drake took his R&B talents to the studio with James Fauntelroy and crafted a remake of Destiny’s Child “Say My Name.” It’s safe to say most weren’t expecting him to flip it, but it worked. AND IT PROBABLY WON’T EVEN SHOW UP ON THE ALBUM.
But it got us to thinking, what if Drake really dropped an R&B tape soon, what other tracks could he flip? (Not saying it should be all remixes, because we’d want a fair share of original tracks). There’s some shit that he can give life to in 2013, though.
As R&B aficionados, these are some of the tracks that came to mind.
Drake & James Fauntleroy Recording “Girls Love Beyonce”

Drake shook up the music game last month when he dropped “Girls Love Beyonce” with crooner James Fauntleroy, and tonight the OVO crew releases some studio footage of the magic happening. As he is known to do, Drake is puffing on some hookah going over his verse with Fauntleroy during the clip. We are definitely hoping that these two knocked out some more tracks for Drake’s upcoming album Nothing Was The Same, which is due out later this year.

Drake – Girls Love Beyonce (feat. James Fauntleroy) (Chopped Not Slopped OG Ron C)
We’re not even trying to front like “Girls Love Beyonce” hasn’t been our most played track of the month in just under two days. OVO season is definitely in full throttle, with Drake having one of the biggest hits of the year in “Started From The Bottom,” then followed it up with “5 AM In Toronto.” Now, the legendary OV-OG Ron C took it into his own hands to give the PURPLE splash to one of the hottest records out now.
The motto is and always will be “Chopped Not Slopped,” so if you’re not listening to this one without the slogan, then you got Slopped up! Check after the jump for bonus mixes of Jay-Z’s “Open Letter” and DJ Khaled’s “No New Friends.”

So Drake is feeling really generous tonight, as he delivers some more new music with “Girls Love Beyonce” (yes they most certainly do, Drake). He also brings along the golden voice of R&B right now, James Fauntleroy, to sing the hook, which is actually the classic Destiny’s Child chorus on “Say My Name.” This will be on repeat for a minute.
Drake is on fire right now!

Ready for the new summer anthem? Well here it is, as DJ Khaled does it again with his new single “No New Friends” featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Drake. This will serve as the first track from Khaled’s upcoming album Suffering From Success and according to reports, this was originally intended for Drake but he gave it to Khaled to tear up the summer. Shout out to Future for his little cameo at the end too, very hot.
Will this live up to their previous release, “I’m On One?” Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Drake To Release Two Singles Next Week, Takes Shots At Chris Brown
Earlier, Drizzy Drake made his way to EVR radio for his first full-length sit-down interview of the year. He made the official announcement of a new single, “No New Friends,” featuring Rick Ross (off DJ Khaled’s forthcoming album “Suffering From Success”) and one that he hinted to be on his R&B vibe. We’re hoping the former can live up to the 2011 SMASH “I’m On One” because that’s what they do every time out.
With his third studio album “Nothing Was the Same” set to release in the coming months, Drake cited his creative process for the new album is taking a different route compared to most artists in hip-hop. Aubrey is trying to capture his current story, stating him and 40 have recorded the first six tracks in sequential order, making for a real life motion picture movie coming alive through his music.
Things didn’t end there, though. Drizzy had words for Chris Breezy as well:
“I make better music. I’m more poppin & the woman that he loves fell into my lap.”

We’re all the way up inside April 2013 already, and the weeks seem to be going by faster. Once again, rap invaded our Top 10 this week, with a bit of R&B flavor in the mix from the likes of Chris Brown and The-Dream. Interestingly enough, Snoop made his way into our countdown twice, by way of both current names.

Drake vs. Kevin Hart (Paintball Edition)
Yup you read that title correctly. Recently Kevin Hart and his squad made the trip up to Toronto to battle Drake and the OVO crew in a game of paintball. In the video Kevin trash talks Drizzy and then fails to back it up as his team gets absolutely washed on the field. The OVO clique really came to play though as they were decked out in all the gear and even had paint grenades. Regardless they should all stick to their day jobs.
