Blue Hefner blessed the streets with “V.6: The Gift” over the summer with features from ScHoolboy Q, Loso and Kiss which received generally positive feedback. During the mixtape, Banks announced plans to link up with DJ Drama for a Gangsta Grillz themed mixtape for the following year as he made an official announcement 2 months ago on twitter stating it was still coming with the “Cold Corner 3” on track to follow. Today, banks hit the twitter world again to announce the official mixtape A.O.N (All or Nothin’) Volume 1: F.N.O. (Failure’s No Option) coming this year.
With having quality releases in his mixtpae series such as Money In the Bank, The Cold Corner and our favorite, the 5 & Better Series; the expectations for the undisputed Punch Line King have never been so higher for his mixtape releases as we’re expecting nothing but straight heat for his first installment in the “All or Nothin’” series.
Something that a lot of people were probably disappointed with was ending 2012 without Pusha T’s new mixtape he continued to tease. He has been active though, as we saw the surfacing of the Rick Ross-assisted “Millions“ single last week. The G.O.O.D. Music heavyweight is back in the state of mind by revealing the official artwork for Wrath Of Caine. The release date for the project is still unknown, but check back for more information as it comes.
We’ve been looking forward to this mixtape from the Boogie Down Bronx’s own Denzil Porter as we get “Porter’s Pot” (not hosted by DJ Drama). “Not Hosted By DJ Drama” is for up and coming rappers who think they need a co-sign to help launch their rap career with the mixtape letting the music speak for itself with the homie Drama taking a sarcastic approach after tracks to make fun of the haters. For this project, the bulk of the production is handled by Claws with help from XLNCE, C-Fresh and Da IllFellaz as we see features from C-Fresh, S Taylor, M Parks along with skits from Jack Thriller. You can check after the jump to view the 14-track tracklistings along with a download link.

Them O.T.F / G.B.E boys have really been running the streets in 2012 as far as that trap music shit goes with both Keef and Reese landing major record deals under the Universal umbrella. DJ Drama chopped it up with Hot 97′s own Angie Martinez & DJ Enuff to promote his fourth studio album, Quality Street Music. He talked on how he gets all the collaborations together, who fronts on him on doing tracks, if he has the new iPhone 5, and more. He also discussed the BET Awards fiasco, between Young Jeezy & Rick Ross, giving them his point of view from the confrontation, saying it wasn’t as huge as people are making it out to be. He says he hopes that after this situation, down the line someone can sit both artists down and get them past all the drama. See what we did there?

After checking out the tracklist for the upcoming DJ Drama album, Quality Street Music, one of the clear standouts was the Kendrick Lamar, Common and Lloyd collaboration.
Seeing as how DJ Drama has been mixing and matching some of the best artists out, on paper, this one sounded marvelous. Luckily, now we get to hear the actual record and marvel at how smooth it really is. DJ Drama is not fucking around!
