Top 10 Videos Of The Week (March 24, 2013)
It was the invasion of R&B this week, as almost half our our Top 10 belongs to the genre. More interestingly, it’s spawned a little competition from two of them, making the Internet pit Justin Timberlake against Robin Thicke for best visual.
The rest of our videos remain to some rap heavyweights, with 2 Chainz getting two looks, much like director Topshelf Junior (for videos from different genres too).
Unfortunately, this means Alternative videos got snubbed.

Last year, Curren$y released countless quality projects from the likes of the “Here…EP,” “Muscle Car Chronicles,” “The Stoned Immaculate,” “#The1st28,” the “Priest Andretti” and the collaborative Jet Life project, “Jet World Order 2.” One of our most beloved projects last year along with those above was definitely his 5-track “Cigarette Boats EP” with Harry Fraud that dominated our playlist the entire summer.
The project was so great, that XXL Magazine had to give its first ever “EP Of The Year Award” to Spitta for their inaugural awards. In the clip above, he burns one up for the award and shares a few words thanking Harry Fraud, Styles P and Smoke DZA for their contributions to the project.

Super-producer Harry Fraud has been delivering some of the hardest trunk rattelers over the course of the last year, making quality beats for all regions of rap. If you’ve been sleeping, don’t worry, he’s packaged together a collection of his best hits over the past year for “Andrift” with a few exclusives for long-time fans on the wave.

As one of the most played tracks behind the scenes here during the month (maybe year) has been Curren$y Spitta’s “New Jet City” mixtape has been the Lloyd & Trinidad Jame$ collaborative track “Purple Haze.” Luckily we weren’t the only ones feeling the same way as DJ Slim K of the Chopstars Click decided to add a PURPLE Slowdown of the record.

Top 10 Videos Of The Week (February 17, 2013)
Wow, what a week. We can definitively say this was the best week in 2013, thus far, in terms of videos released. We had real superstars up to bat, as they make a strong push for their Spring album release dates. Valentine’s Day might have sped up the process a bit, but when it was all said and done, the visuals were fire this week.
All bases are covered too, as James Blake hit us with the alternative flavor, Melanie Fiona showed us the wrong side of a love song and JT made a comeback.

Ahead of his tour around Europe over the next few weeks, Asher Roth decides to release a new track in spirit of Ash Wednesday. “Dude” is some of the latest work you can hear from Asher, along with a welcomed guest appearance from Curren$y. We’re also blessed with production from Blended Babies, who we all know work perfectly with Roth’s effortless flow from previous collaborations. He also left fans with a delightful message: “I don’t know if you’ll be giving up anything for Lent, however, I hope it’s not pot brownies.”

Spitta proceeded to carry that Jet Life over on to Ca$hville Tenakey for a spot date during recordings for the upcoming mixtape “New Jet City.” Beforehand, Curren$y touches the people and gets right with some fast food before the show and proceeds to do his usual and rip up the city on stage with the people. Two weeks people until that “New Jet City” mixtape is out!

For the next episode of Jet Life films and S.C. Media Division’s “Jernts With Spitta,” Curren$y is shown again performing another track for his upcoming New Jet City mixtape. While recording, Spitta’s hunger rises as they’re looking at the Domino’s pizza tracker online and a local employee Shameka puts in his order later than expected which he’s originally annoyed but the smoke in the air keeps his nerves calm. He gets in the booth and continues to record a track and as the Dominos finally arrives, the iMac on hand freezes. To be continued…
