Chris Brown – Fine China (Ted Smooth Remix)

tedsmoothfinechinaremix

fine-china-dj-tedsmooth-remix

Ted Smooth is out here in a lane of his own, putting a ’90s feel to these brand spanking new records. For his next hat trick, Ted takes Chris Brown’s “Fine China” UPTOWN with a hint of Michael Jackson flavor. Breezy might as well just remix this officially, get Tyga on the verse, change the hook to fit the melody of it and make the cypher complete.

Are you rocking with it better than the original?

Common – Fine China (Remix)

common

Who would have thought Common and Talib Kweli would have remixed a Chris Brown record the same year? All we need is for Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey, to hit us with a remix of his own. Granted, this “Fine China” single is hot, though.

Common did his thing, and even got DJ Dummy and 9th Wonder to give the track a Michael Jackson twist, with a smooth break after right before his verse.

Com is lowkey, creeping back up into the rap mix.

Chris Brown – I Can’t Win

ictClick image to listen to Chris Brown’s “I Can’t Win”

Tonight, some new music from Chris Brown surfaces, that will apparently not land on his upcoming album X. “I Can’t Win” is a very interesting title from Chris based on all of the things that have been going on with him in the past couple of years. From the sounds of this, we’re guessing he is talking about Rihanna on this track.

Regardless, the release date for the album will be on July 16.

The Weekend Playlist (April 12, 2013)

The weekend is here, bitches! And you know what means? We’re going to be knee deep in some alcohol, awaiting good times (and hungover mornings). While we get ready for the Saturday and Sunday ratchetness, the soundtrack to our weekend will be crucial. This week was especially crazy, because we got big songs from Rap’s elite.

It never hurts to get a new song for Jay-Z, either. So that will continue in our rotation for days/weeks to come, as we set off today’s Weekend Playlist with that. We didn’t add too much R&B (and definitely no alternative) in this edition, so expect more rap than usual. Compton, Detroit, Brooklyn, North Carolina, and Los Angeles all represented.

Check out what our OnSMASH staff will be bumping this weekend, after the jump.

Chris Brown Interview With The Breakfast Club

Chris Brown stopped by the Power 105 studios yesterday to chop it up with the one and only The Breakfast Club in NY. Chris & The Club chopped it up about Chris’ latest single “Fine China” from his upcoming album X, the image the media has portrayed of him the past year, his relationship with Rihanna, “beef” with Drake, the rumors that have surrounded him and drug use. It sounds like Chris has moved past the Chris Brown we saw last year, only time will tell as we wait for to drop later this year.

Chris Brown’s career has been dominated mostly by his progression of music over the years, but like many artists in the industry, controversy has always been in his footsteps. Leaving the past behind, Brown returns with a track titled “Fine China” that focuses solely on his singing abilities, moving away from his attempt at spitting rhymes on his own music and also as a featured guest on others. Expect the single to appear on his forthcoming sixth album X via RCA Records later this year.

Young Jeezy grabs some heavyweights for the official remix of his smash hit “R.I.P.” featuring Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown & YG. DJ Drama got the green light on this monster record and it doen’t disappoint. We can’t help but to love the diverse use of artist selection for the remix, and boy did Kendrick and YG do the damn thing on this!

Also noted, Chris Brown has some shots at Drizzy with his “Started from the bottom and come out the closet” line to close out the track. When will this end?
