Ted Smooth is out here in a lane of his own, putting a ’90s feel to these brand spanking new records. For his next hat trick, Ted takes Chris Brown’s “Fine China” UPTOWN with a hint of Michael Jackson flavor. Breezy might as well just remix this officially, get Tyga on the verse, change the hook to fit the melody of it and make the cypher complete.
Are you rocking with it better than the original?
In just over 6 weeks, Chris Brown’s “Fine China” has become one of the hottest tracks of the year, dominating many playlists from all around on iTunes, MTV, BET and more. Earlier this week, Chris Brown went to Compton and filmed a music video for his next single “They Don’t Know,” which features the late-singer Aaliyah. During the 2013 BET Awards nomination revealing earlier today, Breezy said he wanted to shoot the video in the Compton to uplift and bring positivity to the community.
Stay tuned for Breezy’s sixth studio album “X,” to release on July 16th with features from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland and RiRi (just to name a few). After the jump you can watch a sample teaser of the visual with Chris on the streets of LA with many people surrounding him to record the video.
*UPDATE* BTS Footage & Bonus Snippet Of The Track Added.
Who would have thought Common and Talib Kweli would have remixed a Chris Brown record the same year? All we need is for Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey, to hit us with a remix of his own. Granted, this “Fine China” single is hot, though.
Common did his thing, and even got DJ Dummy and 9th Wonder to give the track a Michael Jackson twist, with a smooth break after right before his verse.
Com is lowkey, creeping back up into the rap mix.
In a recent trend of soundtracks coming back to the forefront of music, The Fast & The Furious 6 is gearing up to drop a soundtrack of their own (via Def Jam), to coincide with the blockbuster film hitting theaters May 24, 2013.
The original motion picture soundtrack includes already released singles from T.I. and Ludacris, as well as new tracks from deadmau5, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, and even a new one from MC Jin. Yes, 106 & Park battle rap champion Jin.

Power 106′s annual summer festival “PowerHouse” mega-lineup finally got announced this morning, and it is stacked. To celebrate his birthday, Chris Brown releases some more music that will not be featured on his upcoming album X. Chris gets pretty raunchy on this track as he proclaims “That’s my pussy, you better not give it away.” It’s so nice of Breezy to continue blessing us with all of this new music.
Check out the track after the jump.
Tonight, some new music from Chris Brown surfaces, that will apparently not land on his upcoming album X. “I Can’t Win” is a very interesting title from Chris based on all of the things that have been going on with him in the past couple of years. From the sounds of this, we’re guessing he is talking about Rihanna on this track.
Regardless, the release date for the album will be on July 16.
OS REWIND: Chris Brown – Fine China [Music Video]
The weekend is here, bitches! And you know what means? We’re going to be knee deep in some alcohol, awaiting good times (and hungover mornings). While we get ready for the Saturday and Sunday ratchetness, the soundtrack to our weekend will be crucial. This week was especially crazy, because we got big songs from Rap’s elite.
It never hurts to get a new song for Jay-Z, either. So that will continue in our rotation for days/weeks to come, as we set off today’s Weekend Playlist with that. We didn’t add too much R&B (and definitely no alternative) in this edition, so expect more rap than usual. Compton, Detroit, Brooklyn, North Carolina, and Los Angeles all represented.
Check out what our OnSMASH staff will be bumping this weekend, after the jump.
We’re all the way up inside April 2013 already, and the weeks seem to be going by faster. Once again, rap invaded our Top 10 this week, with a bit of R&B flavor in the mix from the likes of Chris Brown and The-Dream. Interestingly enough, Snoop made his way into our countdown twice, by way of both current names.
Follow us as we give you our Top 10 visuals of the past seven days.
OS REWIND: Top 10 Videos Of The Week (March 31, 2013)
Chris Brown stopped by the Power 105 studios yesterday to chop it up with the one and only The Breakfast Club in NY. Chris & The Club chopped it up about Chris’ latest single “Fine China” from his upcoming album X, the image the media has portrayed of him the past year, his relationship with Rihanna, “beef” with Drake, the rumors that have surrounded him and drug use. It sounds like Chris has moved past the Chris Brown we saw last year, only time will tell as we wait for X to drop later this year.
Chris Brown’s career has been dominated mostly by his progression of music over the years, but like many artists in the industry, controversy has always been in his footsteps. Leaving the past behind, Brown returns with a track titled “Fine China” that focuses solely on his singing abilities, moving away from his attempt at spitting rhymes on his own music and also as a featured guest on others. Expect the single to appear on his forthcoming sixth album X via RCA Records later this year.
Next up on “Inside The Angie Martinez Show,” was an exclusive sit-down on Hot 97 with Chris Brown. In the interview, Breezy opens up about for the first time about the love triangle he had with Rihanna and Karrueche, which he already revealed his true feelings to each. Since staying true himself, he admitted to a lot of lying in the past as he moves forward with his career and matures as a man.
The two discuss his “beef” with Drake and whether the two to move past their current issues. Breeezy closes out with speaking on RiRi’s interview with Oprah, whether she’s his soul-mate and whether he’s a legend.
Later today, the official release of Breezy’s long-awaited track “Fine China,” produced Roccstar & PK will surface and will serve as the lead single for his sixth studio album “X.” Check Angie and Chris Brown chopping it up on Hot 97 after the jump.

OS REWIND: Young Jeezy – R.I.P. (Remix) (feat. YG, Kendrick Lamar & Chris Brown)
Young Jeezy grabs some heavyweights for the official remix of his smash hit “R.I.P.” featuring Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown & YG. DJ Drama got the green light on this monster record and it doen’t disappoint. We can’t help but to love the diverse use of artist selection for the remix, and boy did Kendrick and YG do the damn thing on this!
Also noted, Chris Brown has some shots at Drizzy with his “Started from the bottom and come out the closet” line to close out the track. When will this end?
