Asher Roth
Asher Roth – Treat Me Like Fire
For those that are frequent visiters of the site, you might remember us praising Lion Babe’s brilliant “Treat Me Like Fire” late last year. Asher Roth has finally heard the single, and continues his run of releases by deciding to drop a few bars on the track due to how much he enjoyed it. Do remember, Asher’s The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 2 is expected to arrive later this year, capitalizing on the first volume from back in 2008.

Asher Roth – Blurred Lines
Keeping the anticipation moving for his forthcoming project, Asher Roth decides to jump on one of the hottest tracks at this moment in time. After admittedly telling Pharrell that he wanted to be on the original, Asher decides to drop a few words on the current number on single, “Blurred Lines.” Similar to his verse a few days ago, the rapper seems right at home over the record, giving fans a chance to prepare themselves for the sequel to his popular The Greenhouse Effect in the near future.

Asher Roth – Pass The Dutch
We’re always curious of what the next chapter in Asher Roth’s career is going to be, but we never expected volume two of his impressive The Greenhouse Effect to be an option. After wanting to lay down rhymes on the track for some time, Asher fulfills his goal of taking on Missy Elliott’s timeless “Pass The Dutch” instrumental, with the outcome giving us the chance to acknowledge his wordlplay for all the right reasons. Be sure to look out for his upcoming projects in the coming weeks.

Asher Roth Interview With What’s Trending
Like many other media outlets have been doing at SXSW, Let’s Trending took a great opportunity to sit down with Asher Roth to discuss what’s happening in his life right now. The rapper spoke on a number of shows that he has recently attended, how pleased he is with current artists making a name for themselves, using social media as a successful tool, wanting to work with the likes of Mark Ronson and Danger Mouse, being in a transitioning faze with the major label system, the type of hip-hop he enjoys listening to and much more.

Asher Roth – Dude (feat. Curren$y)
Ahead of his tour around Europe over the next few weeks, Asher Roth decides to release a new track in spirit of Ash Wednesday. “Dude” is some of the latest work you can hear from Asher, along with a welcomed guest appearance from Curren$y. We’re also blessed with production from Blended Babies, who we all know work perfectly with Roth’s effortless flow from previous collaborations. He also left fans with a delightful message: “I don’t know if you’ll be giving up anything for Lent, however, I hope it’s not pot brownies.”

Asher Roth – Pete’s Jazz Voicenote
Have you had a chance to check out the Voice Notes application for iPhone yet? Well, Asher Roth is certainly coming to good terms with it, as he bizarrely spits rhymes into the face of his mobile. Even better, Asher chooses to go over throwback production from Pete Rock’s “Pete’s Jazz,” which was first featured on his PeteStrumentals album back in 2001. The combination of mixing the old sound with the new technology pays off nicely for the 27-year old this time, and we’d like to think that there’s more content to come.

Now Introducing “The Tecate Ring Of Fire”
#AshWednesdays brings to you “The Tecate Ring Of Fire,” as demonstrated to you by Asher Roth and By Any Means. If you were wondering, it’s basically taking a Tecate shotgun to the face and forming a ring with the empty leftover cans. The funniest part is when the older gentleman joined in on the fun and slammed one himself.
