Kevin Durant To Sign With Roc Nation Sports
After letting go his ownership in the Brookyln Nets to pursue his new sports agency, Jay-Z and Roc Nation Sports signed their biggest client to date Friday night in NBA superstar Kevin Durant. Sports Business Journal first reported KD’s move and has quoted “Durant does not want a traditional agent anymore. He had a chance to work with his idol, and have Jay-Z handle his branding and could not say no.”
Durant is changing representation for the second time in two years, most recently being with Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports, who also represents Kobe Bryant and James Harden. Pelinka helped Durant with marketing gigs such as Nike, Gatorade, Degree and Sprint. Including making him one of the top most televised athletes.

Denver Nuggets Lose GM Masai Ujiri To Raptors
Denver Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri announced Friday that he will be leaving the organization to join his original franchise that brought him up, the Toronto Raptors, sources confirm. This comes as a huge shock as Ujiri is not only the NBA’s executive of the year, but arguably the brightest GM in the league when it comes to rebuilding a winning team.
Ujiri’s deal is expected to include four guaranteed years, and is worth approximately $15 million combined if the option for a fifth year is exercised by the team. He was making approximately $500,000 annually with the Nuggets, and in some believe a feeble attempt to convince him to stay they offered a raise to $1.2 million annually. It is hard to believe that they can be willing to pay a player like Timofey Mozgov, who averaged less than three points per game this year, a $3 million a year deal but not the team’s most important asset in Ujiri.

LeBron James Wins 4th MVP Award, 1 Vote Shy Of First Ever Unanimous Honor
KING, LeBron James, will win his second consecutive, and fourth career MVP honors.
This comes to no surprise at all as King James has been unquestionably the most dominant player all year. Setting an NBA record back in February for his six straight games of at least 30 points and 60% field goal percentage, and leading his team on 27 game win streak, which was second best of all-time. LeBron joins Bill, Kareem, Wilt, and Jordan as the only player to win regular season MVP four times. Something that accolades his legacy and leads to more discussion about the all time greats.
The Heat are scheduling an awards presentation this Sunday and commissioner David Stern will present LeBron with the trophy itself at the start of their second-round series against the Chicago Bulls tomorrow .
James was honored to receive the award but as playoff cliche’s go, he shrugged it off and said the playoffs and finals are the only thing he’s focused about. Which is good for him, because how far he can distance himself away from other athletes with world titles, is still what everyone is waiting to see from the King.

Humbug magazine has a new shoot for it’s mag called “One Second Out of an Hour” demonstrating that the best moment of a skating trick, the landing, takes only a single second. Independent film maker Sebastian Linda, made it his mission to show what really goes on in that hour of trying to land a single trick. With the help of rider Erik Gross, he showcases in the short film above what goes on for the other of 59 minutes & 59 seconds of that process. Check after the jump to watch the video clip.

SEC, ESPN Announce SEC Network For 2014
SEC & ESPN Announce The “24/7 SEC Network”; Launch Set For August 2014
It has been no secret for years now that college sports has turned into it’s own powerhouse. Competing with, and sometimes even surpassing professional sports in ratings, endorsements, and ticket & apparel sales.
Thursday, the SEC and ESPN made a deal that will only grow the product more, when they announced a 24-hour-a-day television home when the official SEC Network launches in August 2014.

Milwaukee Bucks Say Jim Boylan Won’t Return As Head Coach
For some folks, seeing a Milwaukee Bucks headline is not even newsworthy at all, but from a basketball perspective, the Bucks made a move Wednesday that could very well shape the outcome of their entire roster. The Milwaukee Bucks, who finished the season 38-44 and a first round sweep of the Miami Heat, let the media know that interim head coach Jim Boylan will not be returning with the team next season.
New York Jets Select Geno Smith In Draft, Manti Te’o To San Diego
Jets Add More Depth At Their QB Position; While Chargers Select Manti Te’o “(Junior Seau)”.
After a lineman heavy first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, two of the most intriguing names were left still on the board going into the next day. Many thought West Virginia Quarterback Geno Smith, was a legitimate first round talent and was quite surprised when his name wasn’t called at Radio City Music Hall in New York Thursday night.
The other interesting prospect being Manti Te’o, Heisman Trophy runner up who led his Notre Dame squad to a National title game, but whose stock fell to a poor combine and a national hoax that held tabloids in check for weeks.
Both players were relieved Friday evening as they found out where the pro football destinations will be. Trading up with the Arizona Cardinals the San Diego Chargers selected Te’o at the #38 spot, becoming the third linebacker to be taken. With the very next pick the New York Jets grabbed Geno Smith.
Warriors Take 2-1 Series Lead After Late 4th Quarter Comeback
After a one man, second half show from Andre Miller (including game winning layup) in game one, and a lights out shooting clinic from the Warriors in game two, the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors are set to dance again for game 3 tonight of their first round Western Conference match up.
Oracle Arena is set to be quite the tough place for Denver to come in and get a win, but then again they themselves were the best home team in all of basketball coming in before getting routed at Pepsi Center on Tuesday night. The Warriors came out fast and they never let the foot off the gas.
When it came out that David Lee would be done for the series and the rest of the playoffs with a hip flexor, Mark Jackson went with a dangerous three guard lineup consisting of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jarrett Jack. Curry and Thompson are already considered the best shooting backcourt in the league, and Jack was a serious contender for the 6th man of the year award. So the plan to go small was a definite mismatch.
