In quite possibly her darkest and most mature single yet, Willow Smith returns with something you probably wasn’t expecting from the recently turned pop-star. She continues to distant herself from the personality portrayed on her hit single “Whip My Hair” by attempting a newly found style of singing.
“Sugar And Spice” is a truly great example of the diversities she can explore. The song samples the dismal sound of Radiohead’s “Codex” from their most recent album The King Of Limbs, with Willow showing that she fits right at home with the specific genre of music. The 12-year old singer works her way through a disturbing ballad that quite clearly shows the depth of her vocal abilities.
Keep an eye out for more information on her debut album Knees And Elbows.
