2 Pistols – All I Know (feat. French Montana & Talib Kweli)
2 Pistol is setting year his year off with a club banger, bringing along French Montana & Talib Kweli. The trio of artist is on a roll with more music as we wait for what they have under lock & key. As Pistol made his debut with French & Joell Ortiz originally on it, he decided to switch it up and give ½ of Black Star a chance to rip the beat. Either way the beats dope, the artist show up & deliver. Can’t argue that it’s going to be catchy from here on now.

Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens & Sammy Sosa Denied 2013 H.O.F. Entry

Cooperstown Remains Quiet In 2013 As No Players Elected For The First Time In 17 Years.
Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa highlighted the 2013 Hall of Fame voting class; as for the first time since 1996, no players were elected to Cooperstown this year. This comes as no surprise as the MLB all-time home-run king, Barry Bonds only had 36.2% of voting needed 75 to be elected as he finished 9th out of 18 in voting. Clemens was not too far away with 36.2% while the “bloody sock man” himself, Curt Schilling was at 38.8 percent. With recent suspicions circulating the sports surrounding performance enhancement drug (steroids) use from its former stars in their prime years, voters shied away from inducting any of these first time inductees.
Mr. Kenny Fucking Powers himself, Roger Clemens took to the twitter world to state “After what has been written and said over the last few years, I’m not overly surprised,” and thanked all of his fans and supporters for acknowledging him over the years.
Barry Bonds, who was the league’s only 7-time MVP including having the single-season HR record in stone at 73 since 2001 had his agent Jeff Borrris state “It is unimaginable that the best player to ever play the game would not be a unanimous first-ballot selection.”
In the clip above, sitting in his sports memorabilia room surrounded by his career achievements (subliminally making a 2014 Hall of Fame pitch), Curt Schilling discusses his thoughts on why he and other players who were accused of P.E.D.’s didn’t make it to Cooperstown.
Players who didn’t make the Hall of Fame have 14 more years after their initial induction year to reach baseball’s highest honor. Greg Maddux, Frank Thomas and Tom Glavine will head the 2014 class as the three will more than likely get the nod with Mike Mussina, Jeff Kent and Luis Gonzalez also in the running’s next year as well.

J Stalin – I Stay Strapped
Earlier today we took you up top to Richmond, CA but now we’re taking a small detour to Oakland with J Stalin. It’s not all sunshine and good weather, as the title of the track suggests, you gotta keep the strap on you and stay safe. Stalin doesn’t give a fuck where he’s at though, he keeps the heater on him no matter where he goes.
Now, run and tell them hoes that’s how Oaktown gets down.
Produced by akaFrank.

Double Rock Drive-By: Micky Papa
2012 Money Maloof Cup runner up Micky Papa stopped by D Rock for a short, but still archive worthy session. Papa’s been on his grind lately (no pun intended), and has been one of the best upcoming street skaters of the past year. Thrasher has been profiling the young rider a lot lately, and for good reason too. Interesting to see if Papa may be getting bigger exposure as well this year, say maybe Streetleague..?

Microsoft’s “Illumiroom” Takes Gaming Out The TV Cage
The 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show is well underway as Microsoft showed off a video of their newest technology with “Illumiroom.” During the Samsung CES keynote, a brief trailer was shown showcasing the new tech which goes beyond the confines of your high-def sets filling up your room with images and lights.
IllumiRoom is a proof-of-concept Microsoft Research project designed to push the boundary of living room immersive entertainment by blending our virtual and physical worlds with projected visualizations. The effects in the video are rendered in real time and are captured live — not special effects added in post processing.
Using a Windows Kinect combined with a projector, the project uses the appearance and geometry in your room to adapt visuals in real-time adding flickering lights, particles and expanding the games environment seen in the trailer above.

John Wall Inks Deal With Adidas
After years of being the lead man for Reebok, John Wall and the company have parted ways and he is now joining Derrick Rose and the Adidas family. As he gets ready to return to game action possibly this Saturday, several reporters noticed him rockin’ new kicks on the practice floor. Later, Reebok confirmed the news and released this statement:
“John is a tremendous player and person, and has been a great representative of the Reebok brand. We wish him all the best. He is in good hands with adidas. Basketball remains an important category for Reebok. We have a long and very successful heritage in the sport, which provides us with a unique point of view and place in the category. In the near future, we will announce new basketball assets, to join our current roster, who we feel best represent the direction our style-driven performance basketball business. We’re looking at athletes who are unique in their approach to style, their game and their life in general.”

RG3 Has Successful LCL, ACL Surgery

Robert Griffin III Out 6-8 Months, Has Successful Surgery To Fix Knee’s LCL+ACL.
Earlier today, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had surgery to repair his lateral collateral ligament and redo a previous anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. He’s expected to have a full recovery for the 2013 season but could be out up to the first 6 weeks of the season but team doctors expect him ready week 1 for the season. The normal rehab is normally 6 to 8 weeks as Griffin will have the best doctors and trainers provided to speed his recovery for the best opportunity at having a long career.
RG3 first injured his right knee during their week 14 overtime win against the Baltimore Ravens where he first injured his LCL but during Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, he had to be helped off the field with a complete tear of the LCL and re-tearing his ACL.
The presumably 2012 rookie of the year went to the twitter world to speak out for the first time since the injury thanking his fans and family saying,
With this being Griffin’s 2nd ACL tear in four years, we’re hopeful for imminent minor changes to the Redskins offense from head coach Mike Shanahan to protect their franchise, RG3.

ASAP with the Hit-Boy produced “1 Train.” Rocky discussed with coming up with the idea for song himself after hearing the beat in a recent studio session with Hit-Boy as he wanted to get every underground emcee he felt that weren’t getting their “due” on the same track for some to get exposure together on some exchanging some verbal intercourse in the studio.

Raheem DeVaughn – Thinkin Bout You (Remix)
R&B / neo-soul singer radio-Raheem DeVaughn gave fans the second installment of his “Heemy Taught Me” series during the holidays but now decides to beat jack Frank Ocean for a remix of the odd-one’s “Thinking About You.” This might be one of our favorite covers for Frank Ocean’s track as known for “Jackin 4 Beats,” Raheem blends his vocals over to give fans a quality remixed version to add instantly to their library.
We can’t believe it’s been nearly three since the release of his last major album “The Love & War MasterPeace” as we hope the Grammy Award winning singer has plans to release a full-length project in 2013.
