Pusha T Invades Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 Show And Spits 2 Freestyles

Funkmaster Flex warned us earlier, saying he had instrumentals ready for Pusha T as he visited the Hot 97 studios tonight. Pusha came through with the bars for New York City too. Fresh off his Wrath Of Caine mixtape, Pyrex P continues the heavy rounds of promo and delivers two solid verses for Funk Flex.

RELATED: Pusha T “Funkmaster Flex” Freestyle (Part 2)

Both beats were opposites, as Flex gave Pusha a more aggressive beat to start out and one that was more chill to end the freestyle session of his show. Just a little something light to hold you over until My Name Is My Name drops.

Usher Shows Off His Moves In Mercedes-Benz CLA Super Bowl Commercial

With the Super Bowl just around the corner, R&B Pop star Usher has been called for a Mercedes Benz ad to air during the NFL championship game this Sunday on CBS. In the commercial spot, a young man is given a contract to sign and promised the CLA-class Benz coupe. With that, he envisions everything that would come with it: The utmost fame, fortune, Kate Upton (sure, guy) and even moves like Usher, no Jagger.

Upon finding out how low the price of the cars starts at, he rejects the offer that will crown him king and decides to be a normal guy and buy the car himself.

Spoil your Super Bowl commercial viewing experience and watch the clip above.

Action Bronsolini unleashes his first offering this year taking it back retro style for some “Strictly 4 My Jeeps” music. With La Musica De Harry Fraud behind the production, we get some authentic audio for our ears with the Flushing emcee telling them haters and ratchets to Slow Down while discussing his status rising over the last year with those not with the movement frowning up in his success.

Last year Bronsonlino and Harry Fraud revealed their plans to release a collaborative project entitled “Saab Stories” and while we’re not for certain whether this track or not is expected to be the first single, we’re definitely intrigued to hear what’s next.

Beyoncé Acapella Sings National Anthem At Super Bowl XLVII Press Conference

Last week during the Presidential Inauguration, Beyoncé had an audio malfunction which she had to finish her live performance without any assistance. This caused a lot of public backlash from the media and critics as the Grammy-Award winning international icon had to prove the naysayers wrong with a complete live performance of the “National Anthem.”

Earlier today during a Super Bowl XLVII Press Conference, Queen B made a rare impromptu appearance to shock the crowd on hand to indeed prove she could sing the national anthem and rest assure any questions and quiet all critics.

You can look forward to this Sundays Super Bowl Halftime Show with B’ headlining to give the world the “Greatest Performance Of All-Time” Kanye West™.

Rihanna – Jump (Club Cheval Rap Remix) (feat. Theophilus London)

rihanna-jump-club-cheval-rap

Alternative, R&B rapper/producer, Theophilus London returns with new material after his summer debut album “Timez Are Weird These Days” as he adds vocals to one of our favorite tracks from Rihanna’s Unapologetic album with “Jump.” With help from producer Club Chevel who remixed the record, the Brooklyn emcee just has the lyrical duties over a nicely layed out mix from the French producer. Stay tuned for his upcoming sophomore album releasing this summer.

Drizzy Drake Rogers Set To Release New Singe On Grammy Night

Comeback Season officially begins again in two weeks on February 10th when Drake will releases his first official single on his upcoming third studio album immediately preceding the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. In 2012 Drake, took a break from the solo scene after releasing his critically acclaimed album “Take Care” and focused on Club Paradise Tour with friends Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky being his opening acts.

The track’s title is unconfirmed by Universal Music Group at the current time but photos surfaced earlier this month with Drizzy on set with director Little X as the song has been rumored to be named “Started From The Bottom.” For now we’ll just have to wait and see the Toronto, YMCMB artist has in store next Sunday.

Big Boi Discusses Plans For OutKast 20th Year Anniversary

Big Boi was recently in Los Angeles and made a stop by the Power 106 building as the featured guest on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. Big Boi discussed his new album “Vicious Lies, Dangerous Rumors,” which the album was originally titled for his grandmother’s tell-all-book which she wasn’t able to release before her passing.

Billy Ocean also touched on the albums meaning which the album’s meaning was also searching for the truth due to social media misconstruing facts. Big Boy had to bring up the imminent long-awaited reunion of OutKast being the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut album which Big Boi says him and Andre 3000 are in the works of mapping out the plans for this year to return which he wants it to happen and is waiting on Dre.

Big Boi also touches on the two still keeping a friendship outside of the industry as they catch-up and talk privately which they’re currently enjoying a break from the road so much and wanting to spend time with their families. The group has been rumored to make a surprise performance at this year’s Coachella which could potentially save the event in my opinion, we’ll have to wait for now for the group to make their formal return to the limelight this year.

Joey Bada$$ – Unorthodox

unor

*UPDATE* CDQ/Explicit Version Added.

Just last week, we had the chance to view the acclaimed Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ head into the studio for a session with legendary producer DJ Premier. Today, we get to hear the premiere of the track titled “Unorthodox” in its entire length, which fills every expectation you could think of. We were going to wait for the CDQ, but since Premo played it on his show, the name tags sound even more fitting than ever. By knowing the quality of music that can be made between the two, it’s only imaginable that a bunch of tracks were made in the process.

OS Flashback: DJ Quik – Just Lyke Compton

With Kendrick Lamar kicking the door for the new wave of Compton MC’s bubbling in Los Angeles right now, we had to take it to the golden era for our OS Flashback today.

Back in 1992, DJ Quik dropped his sophomore Way 2 Fonky and the second single was an ode to his hometown. The track is about how much the LA lifestyle influenced the rest of the country (back in those days), specifically naming cities across the United States, like Oakland, San Antonio, St. Louis, and Denver.

One time for the OG, DJ Quik!
