In the words of Rickie, if God wrote a song it would sound like this.
Although we’re used to hearing Fiend on a more smooth and chill vibe, he turns it all the way up for this new one titled “Lil Sumptin,” which really has the feel of the old No Limit days. This is more for the drinkers and ballers.

El-P and Nick Diamonds come together as Stepson to drop a song called “Movie Tit”, the first glimpse into their debut body of work. It’s hard to define a genre for the track, which doesn’t come as a surprise providing the mix of a hip-hop artist and an indie-rock band member. The distorted transition develops as the track goes on, behind the sound of some eerie guitar riffs. Stay tuned for more information on the project, set to arrive during 2013.
We hope you’ve been getting familiar with the musical sounds of Joey Fatts lately, because this rainy Friday brings a new one, alongside frequent collaborator Vince Staples. The laid back beat makes it easier to grasp what the duo has to say as the two just talk to them in “Lindo.” Get ready for that Chipper Jones 2 to drop real soon.
Produced by Stoney Willis
In his next track by track breakdown of material on O.N.I.F.C., Wiz Khalifa talks about how gangsta 2 Chainz kept it, by jumping on the Drumma Boy-produced “It’s Nothin” single. He says its one of the more braggadocio records on the album and one to remind folks what the swag is at these days with TGOD.
We’ve definitely given “It’s Nothin” mad burn since it was released.
Not for the first time this month, Truck North blesses us with another brilliant song. “Rock N’ Rolla” is next in line for the third release from his upcoming project, with production from Dame The Great and Schooley V. Unlike his previous “The Rain Maker” track, Truck comes onto the mic showing a more aggressive side to his personality like a true rock star. Keep an eye out for his forthcoming Our American Cousin EP coming soon.

Have you ever wondered what Toro Y Moi’s perfect hour mix would sound like? Put your mind to rest as he gives us exactly that after he took to the Boiler Room’s center stage and catered to a lucky crowd. As well as appearances from Blood Diamonds, Knxwledge and Earnest Blount, Chaz decided to get things darker in Los Angeles by playing a range of songs containing heavy bass, differing to his sound of original music. With this adding to Questlove’s set last week, we can only hope for more to come.
