Jalen Rose Discusses Memorable Story Involving Patrick Ewing
In the latest episode of his “Story Time” series with Grantland, retired NBA great Jalen Rose reminisces on a game at the Garden where his Pacers played the Patrick and the Knicks. During the game, Rose felt he wasn’t getting calls with Patrick Ewing playing overly aggressive on him with the last straw being on a play where he fell to the floor with Ewing proceeding to step over him.
While Ewing was doing this, Rose tried to prevent it by tripping him but failed in the efforts with Pat jumping on him. A few weeks later after defeating the Knicks in Indiana, both teams were flying out for away games as Jalen came across a package that was Patrick’s. He immediately went into it and came across Ewing’s TV and VCR and tells a funny story about how he’s had the TV-VCR combo for years. Watch the entire clip above.

Although legendary boot company Timberland has always been known for their urban influence, being seen on some of hip hop’s biggest names from past to present, the brand’s initial purpose of footwear was meant for outdoor performance, such as hiking and camping. The very fresh look of certain boot models caused fashion-head’s and the urban world to gravitate towards the brand, making Timberland still the #1 go-to boot in footwear. Timberland has not only lead the outdoor footwear boot-game for years, they have also always had the fashion-game in in the palm of their hands.
In the video above, Lifestyle blogger and tastemaker Marcus Troy links up with with Timberland for experiment that took a few of the internets top photographers and tastemakers through a Hiking experience. The group took a hike rocking the new “Timberland Scramble GT,” a very fashionable boot which combines the Stylish-look with the rugged outdoor performance look. The group gives their thoughts on boots and also their hiking experience.

The opening game for the Brooklyn Nets vs. the New York Knicks might have been cancelled tonight, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t be representing for their team across the tri-state. To commemorate the new home for the Nets, Mick Boogie has teamed up with Adidas Originas, XXL and SLAM magazine for this 11-track project, featuring the likes of Busta Rhymes, MC Lyte, Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, Maffew Ragazino, Troy Ave, Nitty Scott MC and plenty of other Brooklynites that rep the borough right in 2012.
