OS Top 15: Twist It, Bite It, Light It
It’s obviously been a Cruel Summer for the G.O.O.D. Music family as they’ve dominated the airwaves and nearly everyone’s playlist with countless hits over the past few months. Yesterday while at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, MTV caught up with Q-Tip to ask why he didn’t appear on the compilation album and he quickly brought in Pusha Ton to the camera and asked if he could spill the beans on the crew’s latest project and did so announcing “Cruel Winter.”
Cruel Summer’s only been in stores for two weeks, as we’re surprised by the announcement of a follow-up already that could potentially hit stores in a few months. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen but with Q-Tip penned in for the sequel, we’re definitely putting this at the top of our list for albums we want to hear the most. If the next album is anything close to Cruel Summer, we could possibly be in store for an even Crueler winter.
Welcome to another week of some of the best videos that were seen on the site. The visuals this week were almost as strong as singles released, with a wide variety of artists on the ticket. From Pop stars to up and coming rappers, they all had videos to showcase. Interestingly enough, more than one of our picks is dedicated to the strip club.
Peep what we’re rocking with after the jump.

The Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District has now become even more “Live” with the recent long-awaited official announcement of plans to build a new Farmers Field (a new sports and event venue) in Downtown Los Angeles. The L.A. city council voted late Friday 12-0 in a unanimous decision pave the way for it’s newest stadium. Los Angeles, who hasn’t had an NFL team in nearly 18 years, will be able to be able to accept applications from teams for the city on New Year’s Day 2013.
The San Diego Chargers, St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders are expected to be the top teams willing to relocate currently to Los Angeles. Farmers Field is scheduled to break ground by March 2013 and could potentially open in 2017 in time for the NFL season pending the security of an NFL team. The stadium is expected to hold 68,000 expandable to 72,000 and will also feature a retractable roof.

Recently while visiting “Sway in the Morning” Dave Lighty stopped by to discuss last month’s tragedy of the passing of his brother. While Chris’s death was ruled an apparent “suicide,” the Lighty family along with 50 Cent together have hired attorney Scott E. Leemon and private investigator Les Levine over doubts about the rap moguls passing.
We hope to have proper justice from this investigation in which just like the Lighty family and friends, we too have doubts regarding this touching topic.
The REAL NFL referees are back today for a full slate of Sunday week 4 games for out viewing pleasure. After a national “tragedy” on Monday where the replacement refs nearly ruined the NFL season on a missed call, Roger (Vince McMahon) Goodell ended the NFL 3-month holdout with the refs in 48 hours to have them back for Thursdays Ravens game.
Today we have a 4 must see games headlined with a night cap in the city brotherly love as well as the last game of the week tomorrow in the D for the first game of October. Cam Newton is looking to prove critics wrong concerning leadership issues, while the Jets will look for “an” offense against the best defense in all of the NFL. As the Cardinals look to go a perfect 4-0, the Saints will look to avoid 0-4 against favorite Green Bay. With all of these stories for week 4, we should have a nice plate of football on deck for 10 hours of football today.
