Activision & Treyarch are going full throttle with the next installment of the Call of Duty franchise, using the NBA Playoffs on TNT tonight to debut the world premier trailer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Luckily, for those not wanting to wait to check it on television, Activision released it early online for us to see.
From what we gather from the trailer, Activision & Treyarch decided not go back in time to a World War II/Cold War setting, but take this title into the future, set in the year 2025, making it a first ever for the franchise. According to Activision, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 “Propels players into the near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.” Sheesh. I’m with it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will hit Xbox 360, Playstation 3 consoles & PC November 13th. Get ready.
