LA Clippers 99, Memphis 98
Clippers lead 1-0
Last night, the Clippers completed a rally from 21 points down in the 4th quarter to defeat the Grizzlies the matching largest playoff comeback in NBA history. Chris Paul made the game tying free throws with just 24 seconds left before Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay missed the game winning shot to avoid the embarrassment. Los Angeles’s 2nd unit was the real story of the game as Reggie Evans carried them back early in the 4th quarter before Chris Paul pleaded with coach Vinny Del Negro to be inserted back into the game. Along with Reggie Evans intense defense and tangibles, Nick Young also contributed 19 points hitting a key go ahead 3 pointer to give the clippers the lead.
That was the good news, unfortunately the Clippers will be without Caron Butler the remainder of the playoffs as he suffered a fracture in his left hand.

Like we expected, some great visuals came our way toward the end of the week, finishing off the last weekend of April in proper fashion. We got a couple of weed videos a little late on schedule, but if you’re a real smoker, you don’t celebrate only on 4/20.
It’s an every day thing. Right, Redman?
OS REWIND: Top 10 Videos Of The Week (April 22, 2012)
“In my first term, I sang a little Al Green. In my second term I’m going with Young Jeezy.”
Last Season, Cam Newton and Andy Dalton were the only rookie quarterbacks to start every game last season. For the upcoming 2012 season, 4 quarterbacks were drafted to be the faces of their respective franchises and most likely will do the same thing. Andrew Luck & Robert Griffin III respectively went No. 1 and No. 2 overall; but in a head scratcher move the Redskins also drafted Michigan State QB Kirk Cousin with the 102nd overall selection. This move guarantees Kirk will be a backup QB which he does not want entering the NFL. RG3 is the most talented QB in the draft, but Redskins management has concerns his durability as he missed the 2009 season thus drafting Cousin.
In another Draft shocker, the Dallas Cowboys traded up from No. 14 to No. 6 to draft LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne. Cowboys, who already have Mike Jenkins under contract, signed free agent CB Brandon Carr. Dallas now has an improved secondary with this trio for the upcoming season.

Oklahoma City 99, Dallas 98
Thunder lead 1-0
In the first game between the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder, both teams did their best impersonations to match the intensity that was in last year’s Western Conference Finals. Durant might be the talk of the night with the game winning shot to give the Thunder the edge in game 1, but the real player of the game was Serge Ibaka. Ibaka tied a career high of 22 points with 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Oklahoma City trailed Dallas by 7 with less 2 1/2 minutes after a jumper by Mavs Forward, Dirk Nowitzki. Nowitzki scored 11 of his 25 points in the 4th quarter, but that wasn’t enough to stop the Thunders rally as Durant had 2 key assist to Ibaka late in the 4th before daggering the Mavs with a game-winning 15-foot jumper.
Game 2 is scheduled this Monday on TNT with a tipoff set for 9:30 pm (ET).
Win or Go Home!
Earlier today in the last minutes of the 4th quarter, Bulls guard Derrick Rose tore his ACL during game 1 against the 76ers. With an ACL tear, Rose could possibly miss the start of next season and his return to basketball could take up to 9 months with this type of injury. Rose who had been struggling with a host of injuries the entire season such as back spasms, a pulled groin and foot injuries; missed 39 of 66 regular season games for the Bulls. This is an extremely detrimental blow to Chicago as their chances of winning a title this year are now slim to none. Without Rose in the regular season, the Bulls went 18-9 and with Rose they went 32-7. Playing without Rose in the regular season gave guards C.J. Watson and John Lucas III confidence as the Bulls were still able to win without Rose, but now we will see if that experience carries on through the playoffs.
Bulls currently lead the series against the 76ers 1-0 and game 2 is scheduled for this Tuesday night at 8:00 PM (ET).

Let the games begin.
There’s 4 games slated for the inaugural day of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, first starting with the Bulls and 76ers live now on TNT. Immediately following that game on ABC 3:30 PM (ET) will be the start of the long awaited rivalry revival as the New York Knicks and Miami Heat square off. Proceeding the Heat/Knicks will be the sleeper (literally, fall asleep) series of the first round as Orlando Magic face the Indiana Pacers. The Magic are expected to be with Dwight Howard the entire playoffs, and maybe forever.
The Last game scheduled for today’s big day will feature the confident, but not cocky Oklahoma City Thunder as they face the defending World Champion Dallas Mavericks. This game is scheduled for a 9:30 PM (ET) tip-off on ESPN. Last year in the Western Conference Finals, Dallas eliminated Oklahoma City in 5 games. This year with more experience (and no Chandler), Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook look to make the next step and advance to the NBA Finals. Unlike the Orlando Magic series, this is actually a sleeper series IMO.
