We’ve been waiting so long for Nipsey Hu$$le’s Victory Lap project, and up to this point we had no word of when it would be coming out. That is until now.

It sounds like he’s finished with it, because not too long ago, Neighborhood Nip blessed fans with a new track. “Smoking With My Stylist” is one of several tracks to come, which he will release after his Twitter followers increase by 2,000. Victory Lap will be available for free download and on iTunes, for fans who want to support Nip for the good music.

Thank God Nipsey is back!

Kanye West Announces Album Title & Release Date

There’s no question whether Kanye West has dominated the majority of conversation over the weekend already. After launching live projections of his new video for “New Slaves” on buildings across the world last night, the G.O.O.D. Music general has announced that his new album will be titled Yeezus. The name has been something that Kanye fans have referred him to throughout the course of his career, and it will finally be released on the previously sceptical date of June 18th.

Don’t forget to tune in to his appearance on Saturday Night Live this evening at 11pm EST.

Drake Joins The Cast Of “Anchorman 2″

Looks like Kanye West isn’t the only rapper to join the upcoming Anchorman 2 film. Today some shots of Drake were released making a cameo appearance in the movie fully equipped with an afro and dope 1970′s attire. It is not known how big of roles Ye or Drake have in the film or if they even interact with each other, but it is never a bad thing to see the biggest acts in hip-hop geting to branch out to the film industry. The film will hit theaters on December 30, 2013.

16-Year-Old Skateboarder Mitchie Brusco Lands First Ever 1080 On MegaRamp At X Games

Last night during the X Games Barcelona Skateboard Big Air finals, Bob Burnquist beat out Mitchie Brusco and Elliot Sloan to capture the events Gold medal. That win now puts him even with Dave Mirra and Shaun White for the X Games medal-total record.

With that being said, the story of last night wasn’t Burnquist’s historic performance; but rather 16-year-old Mitchie Brusco landing the Big Air’s first ever 1080 on the MegaRamp quarter-pipe. Already winning the bronze in Skateboard Vert landing his first 900 the day prior, Brusco increased the stakes in successfully pulling off a 1080 in his first try.

Tony Hawk, 50 Cent (Yes, That 50 Cent) were all in attendance in awe screaming at the top of their lungs, actually seeing a 1080 in person during the MegaRamp. You can check after the jump to watch one of the most insane tricks ever pulled off in the history of X Games skateboarding.

Christopher Nolan Has Been Contacted About Directing “Bond 24″

The James Bond series could be making a major upgrade in the director category, as it is being reported that Christopher Nolan has been contacted about the position. This comes after SkyFall director Sam Mendes said he would not be returning for the followup film in the series. They can do no better than Christoper Nolan, who completely transformed the Batman franchise making it one of the more classic trilogy’s in recent memory.

There were some reports yesterday that Nolan had accepted the position to direct Bond 24, but according to sources they are just in the early stages of negotiations. One of the obstacles in the way of this is Nolan is currently directing his upcoming sci-fi fantasy film Interstellar, which is set to hit theaters in November of 2014. With the new Bond set for 2016 we don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be able to fit it in. Stay tuned for more official details in the weeks to come.

Ludacris – #IDGAF (Artwork x Tracklist)

The fact that Ludacris has been feeding the streets with solid material for the past month has been something hard to ignore. As previously announced, the rapper is planning on going ahead with the release of his anticipated #IDGAF mixtape, which contains 10 tracks with features from Young Jeezy, French Montana, Chris Brown, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T, Meek Mill and more, with production credits going to the likes of DJ Mustard, Bangladesh, ID Labs, Mike WiLL Made It and The Internz. Expect to hear the new project in its entirety next Friday on May 24th.

OS Flashback: Kanye West – All Falls Down (feat. Syleena Johnson)

In the last 48 hours, we’ve witnessed by far the biggest Kanye West frenzy since his emergence into the game exactly a decade ago. In 2003, Kanye West had finally stepped into the limelight with the release of his “Get Well Soon…” mixtape which he was dealing with a major life changing event after recovering from a tragic car accident. 10 years later, he’s having another life changer with the pending birth of his upcoming first child, as his career has never been at an all-time high like we’re witnessing now.

From premiering his new Kim-K dedicated track “Awesome” during the week at NYC’s “Adult Swim Upfront Party,” and last nights memorable 66-city/4 continent reveal of his upcoming music “New Slaves”; Kanye season has been in full effect, mirroring the excitement seen from the College Dropout years.

Today we felt like going back in time today to one of our favorite tracks from ‘Ye, with the Syleena Johnson-featured “All Falls Down.” When the single released, we were initially heartbroken the original “Self Conscious (All Falls Down)” version with L-Boogie never saw the retail scene, but we still managed to fall in love with it. Travi$ Scott Reveals Tracklist For “Owl Pharaoh”

After much confusion surrounding the final release date, Travi$ Scott decides to provide us with the official tracklist for his exciting debut project. Many dates have passed in which the G.O.O.D. Music/Grand Hustle artist was planning to release Owl Pharaoh, but now we can look forward to 13 brand new tracks, with features from T.I., 2 Chainz, Bon Iver, Toro Y Moi, A$AP Ferg, Theophilus London, Paul Wall, James Fauntleroy and Meek Mill. Expect to see the release of the project on May 21st, along with a number of additional surprise features for good measure.

This Is Water [Documentary]

Do you really know what “water” is? Did you know your day is just a big cycle of itself, and the natural default setting is just on a boring regular day? Horrible days can always show its ugly head when you least want to, its life. Or is it?

Eight years ago author David Foster Wallace was approached to give a commencement speech to the 2005 graduating class of Kenyon College. His address caught everyone off guard, as he tells the graduates what life is all about after you studied so hard for that degree they so desperately wanted. This speech didn’t become popular until after his tragic death, which was three years ago.

This documentary shows how to truly think with all your conscience, and that there’s more to life then the same thing. With the amazing visual to his powerful words, you can’t help but rethink your situation as a whole. This is very inspirational to anybody who feels that life is just at ends with stress, exhaustion, and that state of mind to just go with the flow. Take a quick break and see for yourself, that life is truly what you make it.

The Week OnSMASH [5.18.13]

The Week OnSMASH

It’s fair to say that the past week has been a fairly interesting point of the year. Much of the new releases were overshadowed last night as Kanye West projected his video for “New Slaves” on the side random building across the globe. Fans and workers in the industry were rushing out into the streets in numbers in attempt to catch a glimpse, take a video or post snippets of the action onto Vine. Earlier in the week, we were also able to take a look at this year’s exciting Rock The Bells and OVO Fest lineups.

In terms of new singles that were released, we heard music from Cam’ron, PartyNextDoor, A$AP Ferg, Ryan Hemsworth, Rick Ross, Kelly Rowland, Chuck Inglish, The Weeknd and many more. Full projects were provided by the likes of Daft Punk, Eve, Troy Ave, JMSN and Lee Bannon.

Earlier this week, we previewed you to a short-film for the BioShock series entitled “The Brothers Rapture.” Longtime fans of the series should catch on to the storyline easily as seen in the original game released back in 2007 which we saw the two brothers Charles and Aurthur find out their special abilities to survive the underwater city Rapture.

Before the underwater city of Rapture collapsed beneath itself and Splicers roamed its flooded halls, men and women thrived as they explored beyond the limits of their creative and scientific achievements. But who were they before their society crumbled around them?

Return to a corner of Rapture to uncover the story of the brothers Charles and Arthur as they come to realize the true cost of art and power without boundaries.
